  i recently had the sad opportunity to attend 2 jw funerals.

  the first was a few months ago and the second today.

  the first was my grandfather's and the second of an old friend back from my jw days.

  I really think people go for the reception. Now we dont have that.

  There is a loneliness with everything being organized ariund " service". That is why the talk about sports etc. if given an opening.

  Maybe the powers finally figured out that threats about studying didnt go well. I havent seen or heard tge newest outline

  I do note that memorials are scheduled at riduculous inconvenient times

  it looks like it can happen again and i suspect if it does happen, the senate will not convict either because they can’t convict him since it’s after his presidency or simply because they don’t have sufficient votes..

  No. Feeding frenzy is what we see. In 4 years as in times past there will be unknown figures come forward. Pravda will tell us why they are our choice.

  i think that for the most part, dissenting views should be allowed to exist because of free speech principles.

  one person may strongly feel that something is true while someone else may present “facts” that support the opposing view.

  when that is the case, healthy discussion is mostly productive.

  i don't know why but sometimes like to check up my old/self righteous friend, gary kennedy from bethel on face book....he is a pioneer in ecuador.

  yes and just like most pioneers he likes to brag on his selfless life style.

  he is serving the lord my sitting at home and writing out thousands of letters long hand all day long to count his time.

  True. But there still are the phone shepherding calls, the didnt see your picture calls, and family entanglements. I keep hoping for internet failure.

  Rules

  Forcing a person to engage in another's belief(religion) is where to draw the line. The baker has to know enough about the ceremony to use his skill, same for the photog. Neither tried to prevent the wedding. The pharmacist i think should have filled the script, same as letting an employee use insurance as seen fit.

  These big platforms are in fact public utilities.

  Social media is not funded, BUT they use public airwaves, rights of way for cabling, and provide a necessary service. Tax breaks and shelters I know not.
